IT Officer

  • Salary: £26,000 – £28,000 per annum
  • Location: Leeds
  • Fixed term: 9 months
  • Full time: 36 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Officer to join our busy Business Support team, working with the IT Operations and Project Manager (ITOPM) to deliver projects in support of the wider IT strategy.

You will take day to day responsibility for engaging with the organisation to establish solution requirements, sourcing and assessment of appropriate technologies, solution procurement and implementation activities.

Visitor Services Supervisor

  • Salary: £21,500 per annum
  • Location: Fort Nelson, nr Portsmouth
  • Job type: Permanent
  • Full time: 36 hours per week

We have a great a motivated individual to join our team as Visitor Services Supervisor forming part of the Duty Management team at Fort Nelson.

You will be responsible for day to day operations on site, overseeing day-to-day Front of House operations including team management, promotion of events and activities, visitor health and safety, complaint handling and cashing up.

You will have previous experience of working within a team in a customer facing environment and be confident dealing with visitor enquiries, team motivation, meeting sales and engagement targets and have excellent customer service skills.

HR Advisor

  • Salary: £12,833 – £14,000 per annum
  • Location: Leeds

We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Advisor to join the existing HR team. Reporting to the HR Manager the successful applicant will provide professional support service to managers and staff, acting as the initial contact for HR advice, ensuring queries are dealt with accurately, efficiently and professionally.

You must be able to work flexibly, be highly organised and self-motivated with a proven ability to work to tight deadlines. You must be an effective and professional communicator, able to engage with stakeholders and build relationships at all levels across the organisation.

Interpretation Manager

  • Salary: £31,000 – £35,000 per annum
  • Location: Leeds
  • Fixed term: 1 year
  • Full time: 36 hours per week

We are looking for a driven and dynamic manager to play a key role within our Interpretation Team.

Your role is to help bring this national and world-famous collection of arms and armour to life in our galleries and through temporary exhibitions.

You will develop, project manage, and deliver exhibitions and displays across the museum’s three locations, at our flagship museum in Leeds, at our historic home in the Tower of London, and at the Victorian Fort Nelson in Hampshire.

Digital Content Designer

  • Salary: £30,000 per annum

  • Fixed term: 2 years

We are seeking a talented digital creative to deliver amazing user-focussed experiences as part of the museum’s Digital Vision project, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

You will have a broad range of digital skills and experience designing digital products, including developing text with images, animation or motion graphics and film-making.

You will have a passion for the user experience and a desire to create audience-focussed, engaging, and inspiring stories.

Digital Content Officer

  • Salary: £25,500 – £27,500 per annum
  • Location: Leeds
  • Job type: Permanent
  • Full time: 36 hours per week

We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented Digital Content Officer who is passionate about producing user-centred multimedia content and has a proven ability to communicate with different audiences.

You will have demonstrably creative approach to digital interpretation with strong creative writing and copy editing skills including proof reading and great attention to detail. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop is essential, as it the ability to manage and prioritise your own workload.

Digital Marketing & Communications Officer

Join our target-focused Marketing & Communications team in one of the oldest museum collections in the world. Use your digital expertise to help bring to life our world-renowned collection of arms to armour, promote our spectacular live events, and encourage audiences to visit our sites.

You’ll be joining a team that has helped grow our YouTube channel to more than 200k subscribers and social media impressions to 25 million per annum. But there is more we can do to make an impact in a digital world. We’re on a mission to engage more people than ever before using our data-driven and audience-focused approach and we’re looking for a digital-savvy marketing and comms specialist to help.

Communications Manager

Digital Programme Manager

  • Salary: £40,000 – £42,000 per annum
  • Location: Leeds
  • Job type: Permanent
  • Full time: 36 hours per week

We are looking for an experienced Digital Programme Manager to join our team and lead the creative development and delivery of our Digital Vision and take the Royal Armouries into the future.

You will be part of the transformation of the ways of working at the Royal Armouries and be responsible for the management and smooth operation of the development and roll-out of the two-year Royal Armouries Digital Vision Project.

You will deliver a new technical infrastructure and a range of other interventions to bring about far-reaching change in the digital sphere. You will have experience of managing complex and high-quality digital interpretation programmes for diverse audiences to time and budget.

You will manage a talented team of professionals to work collaboratively with others across the museum to develop digital experiences which place the needs of audiences at their heart.

Web Officer

  • Salary: £25,500 – £27,500 per annum

We are seeking an organised and reliable individual to join our team. You will play a key role in supporting the Digital Manager to develop, deliver, and maintain the museum’s digital platforms.

You will support the Digital Manager in the maintenance, regulation and administration of the museum’s websites, to ensure a safe, compliant and efficient user experience.

You will support and deputise for the Digital Manager, and collaborate with colleagues in the development of new digital content and online experiences for a range of audiences.

You should have essential experience of managing websites, content management systems, and digital content, experience of accurate data entry and administration and sufficient experience in the use of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Search Console.

AV Technician

  • Salary: £21,500 – 24,000 per annum
  • Location: Leeds
  • Job type: Permanent
  • Full time: 36 hours per week

We are looking for an adaptable and confident individual, who understands digital and AV equipment and can help us maintain our public displays.

You will focus on the maintenance of audio and visual (AV) equipment, interactive screens, audio hardware, and projections. These make up our digital provision in the museum’s galleries and for live performances within the museum.

Audio Visual & Digital Media Coordinator

  • Salary: £25,500 – £27,500 per annum
  • Location: Leeds
  • Job type: Permanent
  • Full time: 36 hours per week

We are looking for an organised person to provide specialist technical support and services related to the day-to-day maintenance of all Audio-Visual hardware, monitoring of the hardware network and software at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds and coordination of the Public Engagement Department’s audio visual and digital media production.

You will have an in depth understanding of audio-visual equipment, covering audio installations, digital interactives, lighting setups, projection equipment and integrated interactive hardware and software.

You should have an up-to-date knowledge of current digital experience equipment, interpretation, and trends within the industry.
