Created with our community

This exhibition has been developed in partnership with the West Yorkshire Violence Reduction Unit (VRU).

The VRU is funded by the Home Office and run by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority. It takes a unique public health approach to tackle the underlying causes of violent crime. It enables specialists from health, police, education, youth justice, prisons, probation and community groups to come together to help cut violent crime.

In the development of the exhibition it was important to get a wide variety of different voices. Discover award-winning artwork from young people who took part in a creative art competition on the subject of violence and how it has affected them. Understand the community impact of violent crime and get a unique perspective through these inspiring artworks.

Find out more about the educational activities created for schools to accompany the exhibition in our Learning Resources.
