This Second World War on-site workshop has been altered to become as COVID-safe as possible for your pupils, staff and Royal Armouries staff. However, this does not mean all the fun and engagement has disappeared!

Home Guard volunteers guarded the garrisons, AA batteries and ammunition depots along the south coast. 

In this immersive and interactive workshop your students will:

• Train and perform drill exercises with a Home Guard.
• Practise aircraft recognition and learn how to deal with incendiary and butterfly bombs.
• Explore the Second World War features of the Fort and contemporary big guns from the artillery collection.
